Job Description:
We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals fluent in Indonesian and English, with strong skills in audio transcription, linguistic evaluation, annotation, rubric development, and structured quality review.
This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on Indonesian audio evaluation, transcription, language model assessment, linguistic annotation, evaluation standards development, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply their Indonesian language expertise to review audio and video content, produce accurate written outputs, evaluate model responses, and support reliable multilingual audio workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Professionals in this role may contribute to:
Indonesian Audio & Video Transcription
- Listen to, analyze, and transcribe Indonesian audio or video content according to detailed task instructions
- Produce accurate written outputs in Indonesian, with supporting work in English when required
- Capture meaning, tone, intent, register, speaker nuance, and regional language variation where relevant
- Follow formatting, style, and quality guidelines with consistency and precision
Linguistic Evaluation & Rubric Development
- Help define standards for high-quality responses in general consumer audio contexts
- Develop or review evaluation rubrics, grading criteria, and task guidelines in Indonesian and English
- Identify linguistic nuances, grammatical complexities, ambiguity, and edge cases specific to Indonesian
- Support consistency across review workflows, annotation standards, and model evaluation tasks
Model Testing, QA & Structured Feedback
- Evaluate generated outputs for accuracy, fluency, completeness, instruction-following, and clarity
- Provide structured feedback on transcription quality, language naturalness, and response usefulness
- Participate in QA and review cycles to help maintain strong task quality
- Maintain accuracy, consistency, and professional judgment across submitted work
Ideal Profile
Strong candidates may have:
- Native or near-native fluency in Indonesian, including strong spoken and written comprehension
- Professional fluency in English
- Strong writing, editing, critical thinking, and language analysis skills
- Ability to accurately transcribe and evaluate Indonesian audio across general consumer contexts
- Comfort following detailed guidelines and working independently within defined timelines
- Availability for approximately 10–20 hours per week depending on project needs
Educational Background
- College students, recent graduates, or professionals with strong academic or analytical backgrounds may be strong fits
- Backgrounds in linguistics, translation, humanities, social sciences, journalism, communications, language studies, education, or technical disciplines may be relevant
- Equivalent practical experience in transcription, annotation, localization, language evaluation, research, or writing-heavy work is also valuable
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with transcription, annotation, localization, linguistic QA, language evaluation, or research workflows in Indonesian
- Familiarity with dialectal variation, contemporary usage, formal and informal register, or regional language differences
- Interest in AI, language models, audio evaluation, or applied language research
- Experience developing rubrics, grading guidelines, evaluation criteria, or language-quality standards
- Strong attention to detail in audio-heavy, text-heavy, and guideline-based review environments
