Remote | Supply Chain & Logistics Workflow Specialist — $50–$75/hour
Job Description:
We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals experienced in supply chain planning, logistics, transportation management, warehouse operations, sourcing, inventory review, and structured supply chain workflow analysis.
This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on structured supply chain review, logistics workflow analysis, transportation planning, warehouse documentation, S&OP materials, carrier sourcing, inventory reporting, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply their supply chain and logistics expertise to review realistic operational scenarios, evaluate planning and execution requirements, prepare structured written outputs, and support accurate, evidence-based supply chain workflow tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Professionals in this role may contribute to:
Supply Planning, S&OP & Inventory Review
- Review supply chain scenarios involving demand planning, supply planning, S&OP materials, IBP workflows, inventory reports, network-design models, and planning documentation
- Evaluate planning outputs against source materials, operational constraints, inventory targets, service requirements, and defined business criteria
- Support structured review of S&OP decks, supply plans, inventory analyses, forecasting materials, and planning workbooks
- Identify missing assumptions, planning inconsistencies, inventory issues, and expected supply chain review outcomes
Transportation, Carrier & Network Operations
- Review logistics scenarios involving transportation management, carrier sourcing, carrier RFPs, routing decisions, network design, service performance, and logistics exception handling
- Evaluate carrier and transportation materials against pricing, service levels, capacity requirements, delivery constraints, and documented criteria
- Support structured review of transportation plans, carrier scorecards, routing files, network models, and logistics documentation
- Prepare clear written explanations for logistics and transportation decisions based on source materials and verifiable criteria
Warehouse, Sourcing & Operational Workflow Support
- Review warehouse and operations scenarios involving DC performance dashboards, WMS workflows, labor planning, sourcing strategies, supplier management, and operational reporting
- Evaluate warehouse, sourcing, and supplier materials against defined metrics, process requirements, system outputs, and performance expectations
- Support structured review of materials connected to Manhattan Associates WMS, Blue Yonder, SAP S/4HANA, Tableau, Power BI, or similar supply chain systems
- Maintain accuracy, consistency, and professional judgment across submitted work
Ideal Profile
Strong candidates may have:
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, transportation management, warehouse operations, distribution operations, demand planning, supply planning, sourcing, procurement, supplier management, global trade, or related roles
- Experience in one or more areas such as S&OP, IBP, transportation management, carrier sourcing, network design, warehouse operations, DC management, WMS workflows, inventory reporting, procurement, customs, or international logistics
- Familiarity with tools and systems such as Manhattan Associates WMS, Blue Yonder, SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, Kinaxis, o9, Tableau, Power BI, TMS platforms, WMS platforms, or similar supply chain systems
- Comfort reading and preparing supply chain artifacts such as S&OP decks, network-design models, carrier RFPs, inventory reports, DC performance dashboards, sourcing strategies, transportation plans, and operational summaries
- Strong analytical thinking and written communication skills
- Ability to translate supply chain and logistics workflows into clear, structured task documentation
Educational Background
- A degree or professional background in supply chain management, logistics, operations management, industrial engineering, business administration, procurement, transportation, international trade, or a related field is helpful
- Equivalent practical experience in supply chain planning, logistics operations, warehouse management, transportation, sourcing, or operational workflow review is also highly relevant
Nice to Have
- Experience at a large retailer, manufacturer, 3PL, carrier, distribution network, logistics provider, or large-scale supply chain organization
- Familiarity with APICS CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, Lean, Six Sigma, transportation management, WMS, TMS, ERP, S&OP, IBP, or inventory optimization workflows
- Experience preparing or reviewing S&OP decks, carrier RFPs, inventory reports, DC dashboards, sourcing strategies, network-design models, or logistics exception reports
- Familiarity with global trade, customs, international logistics, supplier management, procurement, or carrier performance management
- Strong attention to detail in operational, data-heavy, and documentation-based supply chain environments
