Job Description:

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals experienced in investment banking, M&A advisory, capital markets, leveraged finance, restructuring, valuation, financial modeling, and structured deal workflow review.

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on structured investment banking review, financial modeling assessment, deal execution workflows, valuation analysis, capital markets documentation, transaction materials, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply their investment banking expertise to review realistic deal scenarios, evaluate financial outputs, prepare structured written feedback, and support accurate, evidence-based transaction workflow tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals in this role may contribute to:

Financial Modeling & Valuation Review

  • Review investment banking scenarios involving DCF models, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, financial statement analysis, capital structure review, and valuation methodologies
  • Evaluate financial models against source materials, deal assumptions, calculation logic, market context, and documented review criteria
  • Support structured review of valuation outputs, model mechanics, scenario analysis, market commentary, and financial schedules
  • Identify missing assumptions, formula issues, valuation inconsistencies, and expected modeling outcomes

M&A, Due Diligence & Deal Execution Support

  • Review transaction scenarios involving deal screening, due diligence checklists, management presentations, pitch materials, fairness opinion support, and deal documentation
  • Evaluate M&A and advisory materials against transaction context, client objectives, process requirements, buyer or seller considerations, and industry conventions
  • Support structured review of CIM summaries, management presentations, pitch decks, diligence trackers, process timelines, and transaction workstreams
  • Prepare clear written explanations for deal-related conclusions based on source materials and verifiable criteria

Capital Markets, Credit & Restructuring Workflow Review

  • Review capital markets scenarios involving ECM, DCM, leveraged finance, syndication processes, restructuring, special situations, credit analysis, and securities-related materials
  • Evaluate outputs against SEC-related considerations, market standards, capital structure requirements, financial terminology, and deal-specific documentation
  • Annotate, label, or validate materials across investment banking use cases such as market updates, financing options, industry coverage, credit memos, and transaction summaries
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and professional judgment across submitted work

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, capital markets, leveraged finance, restructuring, special situations, transaction advisory, or related financial services roles
  • Background in one or more areas such as M&A, ECM, DCM, leveraged finance, credit, restructuring, special situations, fairness opinions, or industry coverage groups
  • Familiarity with investment banking workflows involving pitch materials, valuation, transaction execution, financial modeling, due diligence, management presentations, syndication, and deal documentation
  • Comfort reading and preparing banking artifacts such as pitch books, valuation models, comps tables, precedent transaction analyses, diligence checklists, market commentary, management presentations, and deal summaries
  • Strong analytical thinking and written communication skills
  • Ability to translate deal workflows into clear, structured task documentation

Educational Background

  • A degree or professional background in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, mathematics, statistics, or a related analytical field is helpful
  • Equivalent practical experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, corporate finance, capital markets, private equity, credit, or restructuring is also highly relevant

Nice to Have

  • Experience at a bulge bracket bank, elite boutique, middle-market investment bank, regional bank, transaction advisory firm, credit platform, or restructuring advisory group
  • Familiarity with DCF, comps, precedent transactions, LBO analysis, merger models, SEC materials, debt financing, equity offerings, restructuring workflows, or capital structure analysis
  • Experience preparing or reviewing pitch decks, valuation models, fairness opinion materials, diligence trackers, financing memos, syndication materials, or management presentations
  • Series 7, 63, 79, CFA, MBA, or related finance credentials are helpful
  • Strong attention to detail in model-heavy, deadline-driven, and transaction-focused finance environments
