Selected professionals will review realistic insurance tasks and outputs, develop authoritative reference solutions and instructions, and translate practical industry judgement into rigorous standards for professional-quality decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Insurance & Actuarial Quality Review

  • Evaluate insurance and actuarial tasks for accuracy, completeness, and professional realism
  • Review outputs for flawed assumptions, incorrect calculations, missing considerations, and misapplied policy language
  • Identify responses that appear plausible but would not withstand professional insurance or actuarial scrutiny
  • Assess whether conclusions are properly supported by underlying data, policy terms, and applicable methodologies
  • Apply senior-level judgement across complex insurance scenarios

Pricing, Reserving & Risk Analysis

Underwriting & Policy Evaluation

  • Develop realistic underwriting scenarios involving risk selection, policy terms, coverage, and pricing
  • Review interpretation and application of insurance policy language
  • Evaluate underwriting decisions across individual risks and broader portfolios
  • Identify missing exclusions, conditions, endorsements, or risk considerations
  • Translate real underwriting judgement into clear evaluation standards

Claims & Adjudication

  • Review scenarios involving claims investigation, coverage assessment, liability, and settlement decisions
  • Evaluate whether claims conclusions follow policy terms and available evidence
  • Identify incomplete investigations, unsupported conclusions, or missing escalation steps
  • Develop reference solutions reflecting professional claims-handling standards
  • Apply practical knowledge of claims operations and portfolio management where relevant

Instruction & Reference Solution Development

  • Write detailed task instructions that reflect authentic insurance workflows
  • Produce high-quality reference solutions to complex insurance and actuarial problems
  • Define what constitutes a complete, technically sound, and professionally credible response
  • Translate tacit insurance judgement into explicit and teachable criteria
  • Develop new tasks based on practical industry decision-making

Quality Standards & Calibration

  • Collaborate with research teams and specialists from adjacent domains
  • Help maintain consistent standards across insurance-related evaluation work
  • Identify recurring weaknesses and failure patterns in model outputs
  • Refine evaluation criteria based on performance and review findings
  • Contribute domain expertise to the development of new insurance-focused research workflows

Ideal Profile

  • 4+ years of substantive insurance experience at a carrier, reinsurer, broker, adjusting firm, insurance regulator, or comparable organisation
  • One of the following professional backgrounds:
